Who Run The World?...

GIRLS. Today in class we watched an incredibly inspiring documentary about the iconic Diana Vreeland. Ashamedly, I must admit that up until today I hadn't actually heard of the woman who changed the face of fashion, style, and even lives. In saying "You gotta have style. It helps you get down the stairs. It helps you get up in the morning. It's a way of life. Without it you're nothing", Vreeland ignited a further passion in myself to be dedicated in reaching my goals. It also got me thinking of the many other powerful women who I look to for inspiration, in the hope that one day I too will be able to inspire others.

BeyoncĂ©. You can't go past her. Incredibly talented, and always celebrating the independence of women.

Kate Middleton. Classy and fabulous.

Ellen Degeneres. Celebrates her individuality, and is also hilarious. Definitely encourages women to be comfortable in their own imperfect shoes.

Wendy (also known as Mum). Easily the most inspiring women I know. Strong, sensitive, caring, generous, loving... and even sometimes funny. Not enough words to express my love and appreciation for her.

And the lady behind it all. Diana Vreeman. "You know the greatest thing is passion, without it what have you got? I mean if you love someone you can love them as much as you can love them but if it isn't a passion, it isn't burning, it isn't on fire, you haven't lived."

Beautiful People

There comes a point, I think, in everyones lives. They realise who they need to keep around. There are people who make you happy to be alive, people to test your patience, people to make you question your own beliefs, people to encourage you, challenge you, support you, and love you. I am one of those fortunate people who have already discovered who these special people are, and am blessed to have the most amazing family and friends.

Do this every day.

My beautiful best friend. So lucky to have her in my life.

They might be right with this one.

Always waste plenty of time with friends.

Beginning to realise that the amount of unattractive photos with best friends far outweighs the nice ones.

So much love.

Can not wait to explore Europe next year with my best friend.

Another wild night, with many more crazy adventures to come.

Always Where I Need To Be

With my second month at fashion school well under way I have begun to feel like I am forever in search of that so called 'work/life balance'. My time is spent juggling between school, work and of course my social life. Although I can often be a culprit on placing an unnecessary emphasis on my social calendar, I am learning to prioritise more effectively and, taking advice from the Kooks, keep in mind that I will always end up where I need to be.

Chic look for girls on the go.

How I often feel after a long days work.

Werk Hard, Play Hard.

Yeah, it's what I do.

Always creatively working.

No matter how busy I may be, I always remember to be grateful.

Romancing myself after a long day.

Keep in mind, even when the going gets tough.

Comfy, casual and very practical.

A Beautiful Disaster

Perfection. It is dreamed of, worked towards, aspired to, fought over. More recently, I have stopped to think about what defines a 'perfect' world, and why it is so desperately sought over. In my completely ordinary life I have begun to realise our mistakes are what define our personality, while our flaws create our individuality- so here is to losing our inhibitions and creating the most perfectly imperfect life.

Bright mixed prints are beautifully busy.
Aren't we all.

Messy hair, don't care.

See, Want, Need. Love this cheeky beanie.

Pouring rain and still looking stunning.

My point exactly.

We all have these days.
Honest moments and mistakes, making this life worth living.

My beautiful sister and I 90's trending. Definitely made a mistake dressing myself this day!

Let The Good Times Roll

Like most people, I live for the weekends. I often fill them with endless activities, causing them to pass me by far to quickly. When all the fun is over, usually what is left is an exhausted girl fantasising about the next weekend. Although I try to keep things interesting and step out of my comfort zone from time to time, it can be assumed that my weekends are filled with good company, good food, good style, good music, and above all... Good times!

The perfect weekend outfit.

Sunday afternoons spent blogging.

Leather on leather...plus more leather will be sure to get you through the moody Melbourne weather.

My Forté in life.

Plenty of wild adventures with this wild bunch.

Ideal for weekend road tripping, it's the perfect song to sing along to.

Never too many chai latte's and macaroons.

It really is!
