Who Run The World?...

GIRLS. Today in class we watched an incredibly inspiring documentary about the iconic Diana Vreeland. Ashamedly, I must admit that up until today I hadn't actually heard of the woman who changed the face of fashion, style, and even lives. In saying "You gotta have style. It helps you get down the stairs. It helps you get up in the morning. It's a way of life. Without it you're nothing", Vreeland ignited a further passion in myself to be dedicated in reaching my goals. It also got me thinking of the many other powerful women who I look to for inspiration, in the hope that one day I too will be able to inspire others.

BeyoncĂ©. You can't go past her. Incredibly talented, and always celebrating the independence of women.

Kate Middleton. Classy and fabulous.

Ellen Degeneres. Celebrates her individuality, and is also hilarious. Definitely encourages women to be comfortable in their own imperfect shoes.

Wendy (also known as Mum). Easily the most inspiring women I know. Strong, sensitive, caring, generous, loving... and even sometimes funny. Not enough words to express my love and appreciation for her.

And the lady behind it all. Diana Vreeman. "You know the greatest thing is passion, without it what have you got? I mean if you love someone you can love them as much as you can love them but if it isn't a passion, it isn't burning, it isn't on fire, you haven't lived."
